The program has been designed as common software for surveillance hybrid platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and controls on the local and remote workstations. Customers see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program through net that surveillance station can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all units proceed as independent programs. If one module freezes, other components go on working. For instance if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` part. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart workstation through Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
