Mologadro is a computer program that enables a chemist to weigh out chemicals directly into moles -- no grams-to-moles conversion required! Mologadro interfaces with your electronic balance and does the conversion on the fly, so all you have to keep track of is when you reach the desired number of moles of that substance.

Mologadro features an interactive Periodic Table of the Elements. You simply click on an element from the table to add one atom of that element to the chemical formula. Two clicks adds two atoms, and so on. You can add up to five different elements to a single chemical formula. From here, automatic molar-conversion is easy. Simply attach an electronic balance to your computer, install drivers and establish a communications (COM) port, and enter the serial parameters in the Mologadro configuration panel. That's it! Mologadro automatically converts the data that it receives from the electronic balance from grams to moles. Mologadro also includes a moles-to-grams conversion, so you can still save yourself time even if you don't have a compatible electronic balance
