The software has been designed as common application for security hybrid platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and functionality on the local and remote pcs. Users view MPEG coded picture and have full control of the program through network that security computer can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition considerably boosts reliability because all components operate as independent software. If one part fails, other units keep on running. For example if the `record` component stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture via a `playback` component. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart workstation using Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many cameras simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
